• TIME IN ORBIT TERRA

365 DAYSTHE TIME IT TAKES FOR THE EARTH TO MAKE ONE
COMPLETE REVOLUTION IS 365 DAYS, 5 HOURS, 48 MINUTES AND
46 SECONDS (APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR).
• COUNTRY TERRA
EARTH IS THE FIFTH LARGEST PLANET IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM,
AND THE ONLY ONE CAPABLE OF SUPPORTING LIFE. IT HAS A
SPHERICAL SHAPE WITH A LEVEL OF FLATTENING AT THE POLES,
AND 12,756 KM IN DIAMETER AT THE HEIGHT OF THE EQUATOR
(AN EQUATORIAL RADIUS OF 6,378.1 KILOMETERS).

TYPE OF SATÉLITE TERRA

NATURAL SATELLITE
ASTRONOMY, A SATELLITE IS AN OBJECT THAT ORBITS
ANOTHER LARGER OBJECT. THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF
SATELLITES, NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL.

• MISSION TYPE TERRA

CYGNSS mesures Surface winds in the oceans, using a bi-static radar with the
signal from GNSS satellites such as GPS, a technique known as GNSS
reflectometry (GNSS-R).1011 Each CYGNSS satellite receives the direct
signal from the GNSS satellite and the corresponding reflection on the Earth's
surface; Using the direct signal the exact position of CYGNSS is known, and
by computing the reflected one, information about the reflecting surface can
be obtained. One of the things that can be detected is the roughness of the sea
surface, which is related to the speed of the wind.6 Using a network of eight
satellites, a maximum review time of approximately 7 hours is obtained. The
eight micro-satellites orbit with an inclination of 35° with respect to the
equator, which limits coverage to equatorial areas up to approximately ±40º
latitude, and each one is capable of measuring and sensing reflections from 4
GNSS emitters simultaneously, taking data at a rate of one measurement per
second.
. OPERATOR TERRA
The Orbital ATK company launched a Pegasus XL rocket
(mission 43) on December 15, 2016 at 13:37 UTC from the
Lockheed L-1011 Stargazer aircraft while flying over the
coast of Florida near Cape Canaveral. The payload was eight
satellites from NASA's CYGNSS constellation. The total
mass of the payload at launch was 345.6 kg. According to
the Orbital ATK manifesto, this was the penultimate launch
of a Pegasus rocket (the last one is scheduled to be launched
in 2017). This was the 80th orbital launch of 2016, the 43rd
for a Pegasus rocket and the 33rd for a Pegasus XL.

• LAUNCH VEHICLE TERRA
LAUNCH VEHICLE IS A ROCKET-POWERED
VEHICLE USED TO TRANSPORT A PAYLOAD FROM
THE
EARTH'S SURFACE TO SPACE.

• DIMENSIONS TERRA
LANET EARTH IS A SPHERE SLIGHTLY FLATTENED
AT THE POLES WITH A SURFACE AREA OF ABOUT
510 MILLION SQUARE KILOMETERS, THE LENGTH
OF ITS RADIUS RANGES FROM 6,357 KM.
(POLAR RADIUS) AND 6,378 KM

• POWER TERRA
EARTH IS A PLANET IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM THAT
REVOLVES AROUND ITS STAR – THE SUN – IN THE
THIRD INNERMOST ORBIT. IT IS THE DENSEST AND
FIFTH LARGEST OF THE EIGHT PLANETS IN THE
SOLAR SYSTEM. IT IS ALSO THE LARGEST OF THE
FOUR TERRESTRIAL OR ROCKY ONES.
. ALTITUDE TERRA
THE VERTICAL DISTANCE OF A POINT ON THE
EARTH'S SURFACE FROM SEA LEVEL. THE
AVERAGE
SEA LEVEL IS NOT FIXED, BUT FLUCTUATES DUE
TO TIDES, WAVES, METEOROLOGICAL
PHENOMENA,
