THE CONCENTRATION CAMP OF AUSCHWITZ.

Auschwitz, was most important concentration camp of jews in the World War II, it is located in
Poland.

the history of this camp is more terrible and invite to reflection about of the war
consequences, In 1940, Auschwitz opened her doors for receive to prisoners jews that were
captured for nazis, this It became a key part of Hitler's well-known "Final Solution". in 1945,
Auschwitz was released by soviets.

Auschwitz has a melancholic structure, it covers an area of 175 hectares.in her exterior there a
cartel of welcome that say "ARBEIT MACHT FREI", in English "the works free" and around of
camp are located the houses were lived the SS commands and the guards of Auschwitz. In her
interior it is divided in three parts: Auschwitz I, Auschwitz II (Birkenau) and Auschwitz III
(Monowitz).

In Auschwitz I found logistic part of camp, their bunkhouses are of brick. here there are
exposed vitrines with pertinences of the prisoners, for example: bags, jewelry, prosthesis and
even, human hair; also this located the block 11 where realized the first proof with Zyclon B to
extermination of jews.

In Auschwitz II (Birkenau) her unique objective was the extermination massive of Jews, it
remains standing at 3 km of Auschwitz I and extend in an area of 2,2 km; was equipped with 4
crematoriums and 4 big gas chambers but today only stay one crematorium and the rest of the
gas chambers.

finally, Auschwitz III (Monowitz). in this arrived the prisoners that were destined for forced
labor, they are still preserved some bunkhouses and factories on display.

learns of our past to build a better future and although could be consider how a place of dark
tourism her visit could be result verry useful for the conscientization of everything that
generates the war
