REMASTERING

Before we do remastering we need to download the Cubic application as a remastering
media, we can download it using a linux terminal by typing the command below

After finishing downloading, we open this application and we select a place or folder to
save the iso from our remastering results. If so, we can click next in the upper right corner
to continue.
Here we first enter the iso file of linux that we want to remastering here we use Ubuntu version
20.04, then we change the version, file name, volume ID, release, and disk name. If so, we can
click the next button in the right corner and we wait for the loading of the disk extract.

After loading the extract is complete we will be directed to the terminal here we can add or
remove default applications from our linux. But first we must execute update then type apt-add-
repository universe and apt-add-repository multiverse.
Once done we can add an application or remove the default application from our linux. Here
we add vlc application, libre office and remove thunderbird application
Then we will change our linux logo and wallpaper, we prepare first the photo that will be used here we
put it in the download directory.

For our case, we need to open it as root in order to set it up and this is the default background directory
location linux ubuntu.
 To open it as root we can also use the command sudo nautilus in the terminal.

 Change the default wallpaper into our new one

Next we setup the logo for the login startup.

Here’s the location directory.
Next we will change the logo in applications

 Go to the default icon directory, then overwrite the default icon with the custom logo

Next we will change the welcome background when waiting for the loading installation screen.

After cuztomization
Next we install the theme and the icon pack. Here we use Candy icons and sweet theme
Download the theme and icons and extract them

My default themes is “adwaita” . change all files inside it with our new theme
Next, my default icons pack is “Yaru”. Then change the all files inside it with our new icon pack

Next we go back to the terminal on Cubic and change the product release and issue

Next, Edit the Instalation message
After finishing we can continue the remastering process by clicking the next button in the right
corner, then we wait for loading to finish.
Next after finishing loading, we can start testing our linux file compression after successfully being
created.
After done booting, we just need to wait for the loading screen to complete.
 Here we can start installing the linux now to see the result.
