Math Project: Types Of Fraction

Design a fraction board of any pattern just like the sample sheet attached.
Note: You can use any pattern not necessarily a tree. e.g House Pattern, Human Body, Plays Equipment
etc.

English Language
Write about one thing you do really well? Give lots of details telling why. (Clue: You must write in at
least 150 words. You can also use pictures to make your writing very interesting).

Basic Science:
To investigate whether magnetism can defy the force of gravity.
Before you start, attempt answering these questions
 Can the force of gravity be defied?
 Which is more powerful: gravity or magnetism?
Materials:
 shoebox
 thread
 paperclip
 small magnet
 tape

Experimental Procedure
1. Gather the necessary materials.
2. Tie a piece of thread to the paperclip.
3. Stand a shoebox vertically. Tape the end of the thread not tied to paperclip to the bottom of the
shoebox so that the paperclip almost reaches the top of the box.
4. Place the magnet on top of the box. Bring the paperclip to the top of the box and let go. Record
the results.
5. Remove the magnet. Record the results.
Write out your conclusion from the experiment.

Social Studies
Use the worksheet provided for you to find the Continents & Oceans around the world. Follow the
pattern, draw your own world map the size of a cardboard.

Information & Computer Technology

Design a web page using the following details:
Title: My page
H1: Welcome to my page
H2: Thank you for visiting my page

Creative Arts
Using a quarter of a cardboard paper, draw and colour the faces of a boy and girl. Distinguish both
drawings so that anyone can tell the difference between the two faces because of their features.

Complete the “Learning the Books of the Bible” worksheet.

Agricultural Science
Get some seeds of beans. Take a small pot, put loamy soil in the pot. Follow the appropriate procedure to
plant the beans. Expose your plant to the appropriate conditions necessary for plants to grow. Watch and
record what happens after a week. Bring your report and your beans plant to school for assessment.
Home Economics
Work With a grown up. Take a handkerchief and sew 10 buttons of different sizes. The grown up will do
the first one for you and you will sew the other nine buttons all by yourself.
