Stage Hands of Hell

Intro
Stage of Hands of Hell is a role playing game made for fun one shots. In the game you play as a group of
Stage Hands, be you demons or humans sent to Hell, who help a band doing gigs around the Nine rings of
Hell. As you can guess, doing an already chaotic job in a chaotic place only leads to one thing, a bloody
good time!

What you’ll need to play

So what will you need to play? Well you’ll need 2 to 4 people to plays as our her… progtanists aka the
Stage Hands, 1 person to as the Game Master to plays as all the non-player characters, pen and paper or
some other way to keep track of player state and then finally a deck of 54 cards, including the jokers.

Make characters
Characters are made up of four states: Physical, Charisma, Dexterity, and Brains. Physical is for when you
are doing something more strength or endurance based. Charism is for social situations be it charming
others or lying out your teeth. Dexterity is for being fast or stealthy. And Brains is for using your head be
it with general knowledge or wisdom. Each of these states start at one and you have four points to
increase these four states to max of 4 for any state.

How to play
When a player wants to do something and the gamemaster decides it is not something they automatically
do, it's time for a skill test. How skill test work is the gamemaster assigns a difficulty to the test, one to
five, with one being a simple task to five being near impossible. Then the player decided what state to use
for the test, with the Gamemaster’s approval. Then the gamemaster draws cards equal to difficulty
followed by the player drawing cards equal to the state number of the state they are using. Next the
gamemaster and player reveal their cards, and if the player has the card with the highest value they
succeed, if they don’t then they fail the test (the order of value goes
2<3<4<5<6<7<8<9<10<Jack<Queen<King<Ace<Joker, with Clubs>Diamonds>Hearts>Spades). If
either side draws a joker this where things get interesting, as if the player gets it they critically succeeded
the test, doing their action and more though. If the gamemaster draws a joker, the player critically fails the
test, with the player being unable to do their and action things getting a little worse. If both the Player and
the Gamemaster draws the joker, victory goes to the player though it will not be a critical success. Once a
joker is drawn, shuffle all cards from the discard pile into the main deck after the result of the test is
given.
