Uniform OR Rectangular Distribution

The Uniform Distribution is a Continuous Probability Distribution that is commonly applied when the possible
outcomes of an event are bound on an interval yet all values are equally likely.

Buses arrive at a specied stop at 15 min. intervals starting at 7 am that is, they arrive at 7, 7:15, 7:30, 7:45, and
so on. If a passenger arrives at the stop at a random time that is uniformly distributed between 7 and 7:30 am,
nd the probability that he waits. (Ans: 1/3, 1/5)

each other. Out of 10 married couples, determine the following probabilities: a) That only the Arthurs and the
Martins will stay married. b) That exactly 2 of the 10 couples will stay married
