Components SONGSORB® CS B5151 is a viscous liquid blend of a hydrophilic 2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-
benzotriazole UV absorber (UVA) and a basic hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS).

Characteristics & SONGSORB® CS B5151 is a synergistic combination of a selected benzotriazole based

Usages UV absorber and a HALS. Its major features and applications are:
- Protection against surface defects such as gloss reduction, cracking,
blistering, delamination and color change of coatings and sealants.
- Broad UV absorbance makes SONGSORB® CS B5151 suitable for a wide
range of coatings for wood, plastics and metal.
- Universal blend recommended especially for exterior water - and solvent-
based applications in industrial and decorative clear coatings with a layer
thickness from 30 – 60 μm.
- The high thermal stability and permanence makes it suitable for coatings
exposed to high bake temperatures and extreme environmental conditions.
- Good miscibility with the most commonly used paint solvents. The water
solubility is less than 0.01 % and the use of SONGSORB® CS B5151 in
waterborne coatings might require its predilution in a water miscible co-
solvent.
