finished Bugatti Veyrons in detail.

Ans:

The finished Bugatti Veyrons go through testing processes at special testing facilities
before reaching consumers around the world. A brief overview of the Bugatti Veyrons
testing facility and testing process has been provided below-

Testing facility:

One of the most remarkable automotive testing facilities is located in the woods outside
Wolfsburg Germany. Volkswagen Group owns a test track facility in Ehra-Lessien. The track
is used for testing each finished Bugatti Veyron. Ehra-Lessien is one of those tracks in the
world where Bugatti runs their Veyron to it's speed of 253 miles an hour. It is protected by
barbed wire and concertina mesh. Airplanes are not allowed to fly over the site because it is
Volkswagens' super secret test facility in Ehra-Lessien. What happens there stays there.
Inside the gates, there are 60 miles of private roads including a high-speed track with a
straight stretch over 5 miles long. These consist of a large variety of road surfaces and
curves that are utilized as test tracks for assessing new and prototype automobiles. Top
speeds are permitted in a very safe environment at the test location with a high-speed track.
High entry and exit speeds to and from the straight are made possible by banked turns at both
ends of the course. Finding the car's maximum speed in a straight way is quite helpful. The
Bugatti Veyrons testing facility enables exceptionally rigorous and objective testing, which is
currently necessary to fulfill these high standards components and assemblies in the
laboratory and ends with prototypes and series-ready vehicle road tests on the track.
Testing Process:

On the high-speed track, the Veyron can reach to speed of 407 km. per hour or 253 miles an
hour. First a few laps to warm up the car. Then the driver accelerates in the banked bend to
about 240 km/hr or 155 miles an hour. Here, the Veyron only uses 280 horsepower. It needs
the remaining 721 horsepower to reach its top speed. When the car comes out of the bend
onto the straight it flows away. At 407 km/hr the Veyron covers the length of a football field
in one second which is more than 4 miles in one minute The turbocharges suck as much air in
one minute as the driver needs to breathe for four days. At top speed, the Veyron consumes
115 liters per 100 km. So the 100-liter fuel tank is empty in 12 minutes. The top speed is
measured with a GPS meter on the dashboard. It indicates kilometres. The magic number is
407 km/hr. Bugatti Veyron could go faster 418 km/hr but the computer is limited to 407
km/hr. Above that speed, stability can become a problem. Each Bugatti Veyron is driven 500
km. to detect every beep, every rattle, every defect. After the final road test, each Bugatti
Veyron returns to Atelier.
