SYNOPSIS

FLIPKART”

INTRODUCTION
E-commerce is the heart of online marketing. E-commerce is
the buying and selling of goods and services, or the
transmission of funds, over an electronic network, primarily
the internet. The E-business and E-commerce were the two
most significant development of information technology
during 1990’s.online shopping is a form of E-commerce
whereby customers directly purchase goods or services
from a seller over the internet.

E-commerce is the latest trend due to COVID19. The small,


large and medium businessmen also preferred online
business and selling. The important role of online marketing
does not carry cash for the purchase of item and available at
your place at a reasonable rate.

According to Peter Drucker, E-commerce is profoundly


changing markets, industry structures, product and
services, consumer segmentation, consumer values and
consumer behaviour, jobs and labour markets.
The history of E-commerce begins with the first ever online
sale on the august 11, 1994. A man sold a CD by the band
sting to his friend through his website NetMarket, an
American retail platform. This is the first example of a
consumer purchasing a product from a business through the
World Wide Web or ‘E-commerce’ as we commonly known it
today.

The E-commerce industry in India is growing fast, booming


and expanding at a larger rate. The concept of online
shopping has attracted the Indian population tremendously.
According to IAMAI-IMRB report, over 460 million Indians
use internet and India has been the second largest online
market after china. The emergence and extraordinary
success of various online commerce startups like flipkart,
jabong, snap deal, have recreated the model of online
market place. Even global companies like Amazon and EBay
made their entry in the Indian market that can be seen to
dominate the E-commerce industry.

Online shopping helps to increase or improve in value,


quality and attractiveness of delivering customer benefits
and better satisfaction. Not only benefits but also risk is
associated with online shopping. Generally speaking
internet users avert online shopping because of credit-card
fraud, lack of privacy, non-delivery risk, lack of guarantee of
quality of goods and services.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:-
 To study the E-shopping in detailed manner.
 To study the customer level of satisfaction with regard
to online shopping.
 To study the problems faced by the consumer towards
online shopping.

NEED OF THE STUDY:-


The need of this research is to facilitate new types of
information based business processes for reaching and
interacting with customer like online advertising and
marketing, online order taking and online customer service.
The basic need of this research is to find out what are the
main factors affect the online when considering and making
a purchase over the internet.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY:-


The preset study aimed at analyzing online shopping trends.
Online shopping is the overall concept of this study. This
study made an attempt to understand the consumer’s
preferences towards online shopping.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:-
This study is carried out on the basis of both primary and
secondary sources. Primary data has been collected by
preparing the questionnaires with 20 questions and sample
size of 100 and secondary data has been collected from
various websites available on internet.

LIMITATIONS:-
 The scope of the study is only consumers of flipkart.
 Hidden costs and shipping charges.
 Delay in delivery.
