The line graph illustrates the figures of openings and closures of shops in one

country in 2012 to 2018. Overall, it can be analysed that there was a considerable
decrease in closures in 2015 and opening in 2018 and the numbers fluctuated over
the period.

According to the graph, the number of shops that closed was approximately 6,300 in
2011 and it slightly fluctuated until 2014 with around 6,500 closures. In 2015, a
dramatic decline of shops shutted down occurred with about 500 closures. In the
following year, the numbers increased substantially with around 5,100 and remained
steady until 2018.

On the other hand, the number of new shops opened sharply plummeted from 2011
with about 8,500 to 4,000 in 2012. The figures peaked gradually for two years with
6,000 openings, however a fall of new stores opened occurred in 2014 until 2015 but
it remained steady for the following two years until 2017 when it decreased slightly
with 3,000 new stores openings.
Task 2

In today’s fast-paced society, health is a vital commodity that ought to be preserved

and cared for as a precious treasure.Commontly, people with health conditions visit
their general practitioner, however an increased number of patients are considering
alternative medicine to treat different health problems. From my perspective, both
the positives and negatives are equally valid hence both will be detailed in the
following essay.

To begin with, holistic medicine provides people with a large number of benefits that
could boost their immune system, health and well-being. There are different
treatments such as herbal therapy which focuses on the use of plants to heal or
reduce the pain of different diseases. As an example of this is the consumption of
ginger tea to treat flu, chamomile to sleep, rosemary to treat hair loss or calendula to
heal wounds without the use of prescription medicine. The use of alternative
methods could reduce the side effects of modern medicine and it could be less
expensive for people

On the other side, a natural approach could also have some negative implications as
there is limited scientific evidence that proves that it cures every disease in every
person. Additionally, there is a lack of entities or health organisations that regulate
the safety and effectiveness of alternative medicines. In fact, there is no guarantee
that acupuncture will reduce someone's muscle pain but instead cause a local
infection by the insertion of an infected needle in the body.

In brief, there are positives and negatives of the development of alternative

medicine. From my point of view, both alternatives could help to improve an
individual's health and treat diseases hence I consider that the use of both could
work positively together if it is handled by experts and regulated organisations.
