GUIDELINES IN PURCHASING PRODUCTS OR
SERVICES

b.Buy products that have passed the standards set by the
Department of Trade and Industry( DTI), the Bureau of Food
and Drugs ( BFAD)
c.Read the labels of processed, bottled and canned goods,
and look for the nutritional values and expiration dates.
d. Do not be swayed by propaganda advertisement.
e.Report deceitful health products and services to
the authorities.

▪ Hospitalization insurance – pays for the stay of the patient in
hospital
▪ Surgical insurance – pays for surgery
▪ Disability insurance – provides financing for members who suffer
from illnesses/ accidents
HEALTH MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATION(HMO)
