1. What are rhythmic activities?
- Rhythmic exercises is a kind of activity that has body movements, sound, beats, or
music. These are dancing, playing musical instrument, singing, chanting, etc.

2. How can we consider such activities as rhythmic?


- We can consider such activities as rhythmic because it has a rhythm which we found in
music, beats, and different sounds. Even the steps or movements has rhythm.

3. Give at least 5 example of rhythmic activities.


- Dancing, singing, chanting, playing musical instrument, and galloping.

4. Describe/define Hiphop as a dance genre.


- Hiphop is a fusion dance genre that involves locking, popping, b-boying, and freestyles.
It has a fast rhythm but tolerable.

5. Describe/define Folkdance.
- Folkdance is a traditional dance that performed by a group of people in a certain region.
It reflects to the life of the people in that certain region. As I noticed, the most common
movement of this dance is hand movements and they usually begin and end their dance with
“saludo” , may be it shows respect.

6. Describe/define Contemporary dance.


- Contemporary dance is an expressive dance style that incorporates elements of various
dance genres such as modern, jazz, lyrical, etc. as I noticed, contemporary dancers’ purpose is to
connect to the mind and body through their fluid dance movements that also affect the viewers.

7. Describe/define gymnastics?
- Gymnastics is a kind of activity that has a elastic movements. It teaches people how to
run, roll, leap, swing, and turn around on their backs. As I noticed, gymnastics is a thrilling
practice and sport because of the specific benefits it provides in terms of general fitness,
coordination, endurance, power, balance, and speed.

8. How can rhythmic activities be an alternative for gym workouts?

- Rhythmic activities can be an alternative for gym work out because it has still a body
movements and it is also considered as one of the exercises, but the difference is it
has music, sound, and beats. You know, gym workouts are more enjoyable if you
listen to motivation songs especially if it has an intense beat.
