to sense the thermal currents of a coming storm and has inbuilt capacity to lift and soar above it. “There is no help for him

In 2024 we are airborne: we will not be limited by the barriers and obstacles that contain and constrain at lower
altitudes. In Christ, we are raised up with Jesus to high places in God. 3. But You, O Lord, are a

the imagery of the eagle inspire you to approach difficulties in your faith journey?

Personal Reflection:
In Isaiah 40:31, we find a powerful promise that echoes the spirit of the eagle believer: "But those who hope in the
Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk
and not be faint." The eagle believer draws strength from their hope in the Lord, allowing them to mount up with
wings of faith and conquer the trials that seek to hinder their spiritual journey. Consider the challenges you
currently face. Are they weighing you down, or are you relying on the Lord's strength to soar above them? Take a
moment to reflect on specific instances where you have experienced the Lord's renewal and empowerment in the
face of adversity.
Team Activity
Discuss some of the attributes of the eagle and develop together a confession of faith, highlighting the abilities of
the eagle and adopt this as a confession throughout the week in the group.

Prayer Focus:
1. Pray against things that limit lifting: offense, bitterness, pride, laziness, mediocrity, not sowing your seed,
spiritual emptiness, fear, the spirit of heaviness and any evidence of the work of the flesh.
2. Pray for those who need strength to overcome something or go through a difficult time.
3. Pray for strength to believe in the goodness of God and His commitment to seeing you through a difficult
time.
