What Makes the Meal
Program so Special?
Thanks for your intrest in out Meal Program
at Ronald McDonald House Charities of
Central Georgia. The families that stay with
us often return to the House after a long day
at the hospital, and cooking a meal for
themselves may be the last thing on their
minds. Giving the families a chance to sit
down to a hot meal is just another way the
Ronald McDonald House serves as a “home
away from home” for families who need it
most.
How Many People
Should I Plan For?
Plan to cook for approximately 30-35
people, or based on the number of
residents we have present at the time.
Will Everyone
Arrive At Once?
Please be aware that not all families arrive
at the same time. Dinner is served at 5:30
p.m, but perhaps 2-3 families may appear
at the onset,with others trickling in as the
evening progresses. Although we may put
leftovers in the refrigerator, families
arriving late will enjoy them!
MEAL INFORMATION
Who Can Provide
a Meal?
The office, church, family, group of
friends, restaurants, or just YOU can
provide a meal. To avoid crowding we do
ask that you lemit the number of “chefs”
to no more than 8-10 people. Children
should not participate in the cooking and
should have adult supervision at all times
Where Do We
Prepare the Meal?
You may prepare the meal at your
home or restaurant and bring it to the
House. You can also prepare it in out
kitchen. We also accept fresh fruit,
vegetables, and packaged foods
from the grocery store.
Who Cleans Up?
We ask that if you use our
kitchen you clean up as you
go. Our evening staff will put
the leftovers in the refrigerator
after the families have had
dinner.

What Should
We Cook?
Don’t be afraid to get creative!
Just like you, our families
enjoy a chnage of pace. We
do ask that alcohol is not
brought to the house.
Other Things to
Know
We will contact you a few days
before your scheduled day to
remind you about your meal
commintment and give you a
headcount. If you are unable to
prepare a meal for that day, please
let us know as soon as possable so
we can make other arrangements.
When possable, please use
disposable container. You are
welcome to use anything in our
kitchen and may want to visit
before hand to get an idea of what
is already here.
