Hinduism involves a range of philosophies linked to recognizable rituals, shared concepts, pilgrimage to sacred sites, cosmology and shared textual resources discussing in detail philosophy, theology, mythology, yoga, Vedic yajna, agamic rituals and temple building among other topics. What is Jainism? Jainism is the religion that was founded in ancient India. The main principle in Jainism is ahimsa. This is the idea non – violence. Jains and Hindus have a lot in common with each such as both religion's coming from India, as well as both believe in non-violence. In Hinduism they believe in more than one God, but Jains do not believe in a God or Gods but they believe in Divine beings who are worthy of devotion. Why should we add Jain shrine's to local Hindu temples? What Do Jain shrines contain you may ask; well Jain shrines contain images of tirthankara; who is usually in a seated meditation or standing. Jains make offerings to these images as part of their worship. Jain shrines range from the most elaborate and immense to the very plainest worship spaces. Most Jains focus heavily on their everyday religious life more than on the vows themselves because it is for them to go to temple than follow the Jain code strictly. Adding a Jain shrine to a local Hindu temple will be
great for the Jain community since some Jains may have to travel far to go and pray at a Jain temple since there may not be one in their local area for them to pray at, whereas there are a lot more Hindu temples and they are easy to find and get too. Adding a Jain shrine to a local Hindu will be helpful for Jains because it means that they do not have to travel far to pray and that there place of pray could be easy to get too. Why should we add Jain shrine's to local Hindu temples?
In conclusion we should add a
Jain shrine to a local Hindu temple so that Jain's can easily be able to pray to images of tirthankara. As well as make sure they don’t have to travel far to be able to pray.
