Pet Food Safety Guardian

In this study, the primary research problem circulates on food safety and suitability,
which remains a critical issue for pet owners for far too long. The tragic loss of beloved pets due
to food-related complications highlights the urgency that every single fur parent must be highly
knowledgeable about the food they let our household pets consume. Even though researchers are
working hard to make pet food safer, there's still a big difference between what we know and
how we actually put that knowledge into practice in our daily lives. Some studies have estimated
that hundreds of thousands of pets die each year from food poisoning. One study, published in
the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, found that 2% of dogs and 1% of
cats in the United States are diagnosed with food poisoning yearly. Another research, conducted
by the Animal Poison Control Center (ASPCA), found that pet food poisoning was the leading
cause of accidental poisoning in pets in 2022.

Introducing "Pet Food Safety Guardian," a game-changing tool set to upgrade the way we
take care of our pets. Using smart Arduino technology, this device does more than just check
what are the components of pet food. It is a valuable tool for any pet owner who wants to ensure
that their furry loved one is getting the best possible nutrition and care. It keeps our household
pets safe and healthy. Pet Food Safety Guardian carefully reads pet food labels to identify any
ingredients that might be harmful to our pets' health. But it doesn't stop there, this device has the
ability to detect mold or bacteria. It can provide pet owners with up-to-date information on
whether the food is safe for their animals. There is a downloadable mobile application that you
can seamlessly connect to Pet Food Safety Guardian. Within just a few clicks, the app delivers
comprehensive information about the nutritional value of the food, offering valuable suggestions
on how to enhance its health benefits. With Pet Food Safety Guardian, you can rest assured that
your pet is always getting the healthy food they need.

The device has a sleek rectangular design with a camera attached to it. It also has a handy
phone holder for easy use with the app. The main brain behind the device is a Raspberry Pi 3b.
When you take a picture using the USB camera, the Raspberry Pi checks it against a database of
stored pictures and ingredient lists. This sophisticated process enables the Pet Food Safety
Guardian to accurately determine whether the food in question is safe for your beloved pets. The
Raspberry Pi's comprehensive database includes a detailed list of harmful ingredients and foods,
along with corresponding images and names, forming the cornerstone of its decision-making
process. The Raspberry Pi has a list of harmful ingredients or foods with pictures and names,
forming the basis for its decisions. Essentially, this device acts as a trustworthy protector for pet
owners, using technology to keep pets safe from potential food risks.
