From the account of the gospel according to Mark 6:53-56

53 After making the crossing to the other side of the sea, Jesus and his disciples
came to land at Gennesaret and tied up there.
54 As they were leaving the boat, people immediately recognized him.
55 They scurried about the surrounding country and began to bring in the sick
on mats to wherever they heard he was.
56 Whatever villages or towns or countryside he entered, they laid the sick in
the marketplaces and begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his
cloak; and as many as touched it were healed.

Reflection: Today’sgospel passage illustrates the boundless nature of Jesus’ love

and power. His healing was not limited to a select few but was accessible to all
who sought Him. This inclusivity invites us to embrace a spirit of compassion
and kindness towards everyone we encounter. We are called to be vessels of this
healing love, extending our hands to those in need, and sharing the message of
hope that we have received.

Let this story from Mark’s Gospel be a reminder that in every season of life,
whether in joy or in pain, we have a refuge and a healer in Jesus. Our faith, as
small as it might seem, holds the power to unlock profound changes, not just in
our lives but in the lives of those around us. Let us embrace this faith, reach out,
and experience the transformative power of God’s love and healing.
