PHYSICAL FITNESS
 Cardiovascular Endurance – is how well your heart and lungs can supply the
oxygen you need while you exercise at medium to high intensity.
 Flexibility – is the ability of a joint or series of joints to move through an
unrestricted, pain free range of motion.
 Body Composition – is the percentage of a body's weight that is fat tissue.
 Cardio Exercise – is any rhythmic activity that raises your heart rate into your
target heart rate zone.
 Muscular Endurance – is how many times you can move that weight without
getting exhausted.
 Muscular Strength – is the amount of force you can put out or the amount of
weight you can lift.
PHYSIOLOGICAL INDICATORS
Physiological Parameters that can be used to assess welfare
- Hearth Rate
- Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE)
- Pacing Associated with Active Participation with MVPs

Rate of Perceived Exertion


- Can measure exercise intensity
- The higher the number given, the higher the level of exertion is
- A number is assigned to coincide with the subjective feelings of exercise exertion
(from 1 to 10)

1 10% NO EXERTION
2 20% VERY VERY WEAK
3 30% VERY WEAK
4 40% WEAK
5 50% MODERATE
6 60% SOMEWHAT STRONG
7 70% STRONG
8 80% VERY STRONG
9 90% VERY VERY STRONG
10 100% MAXIMAL EXERTION
