Opening Speech

Dear executive board and fellow delegates,

The development of technology has played an important role in

making lives of the humans more convenient and easier. However,
this has proved beneficial for the cybercriminals who with their
malicious strategies have been constantly misusing the technology.
This proves to be a worldwide issue for all the nations.
Notably experiencing cyberattacks during the FIFA world cup in 2014
and in the Olympics in 2016, the nation of Brazil has been no stranger
to cyberattacks. With over a billion attacks in a year and being the
second most prone country to cyberattacks, Brazil significantly
understands the need for preventive measures against cyberwarfare
and advocates for effective measures to be taken.
Our delegation advocates for a comprehensive approach to address
this challenge. We emphasize the importance of international
cooperation, urging nations to unite and establish a determined task
force within the United Nations. Moreover, our nation promotes the
principal of passing laws against the cybercriminals which would
further mitigate cyberwarfare.
Brazil will be willing to cooperate with any nation that strive to reach
out their maximum limit to fight against cyberattacks considering
human safety a priority.
Thank you
