CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down.
After working the collar, the neck is shaped with short rows, then the dropped saddle shoulder is formed with increases
along the shoulder markers. Back and fronts are then worked separately to the base of the armhole, then rejoined and the
body worked in rounds down to the rounded bottom and ribbing.
Sleeves are picked up and worked down from the armholes to the cuff.

ADJUSTING THE SIZE


If you’d like to enlarge/reduce body width at bust and
shoulder length:
Work more/less repeats in the 2nd set
If you’d like to enlarge/reduce the body width at bust:
Work more/less decreases after joining the body.

SHORT ROWS
Double stitch aka German short rows: Work in pattern and turn work.
mds: make double stitch: With yarn in front slip st purlwise. Pull the working yarn up and over the needle to the back, so
that the two legs of the stitch are visible sit on the needle (double stitch = ds).

Sleeve ribbing
The bottom ribbing is worked in k4, p1 repeat, beginning
at the shoulder marker to make sure that all false seam
purls from the saddle shoulders and underarms line up
with purl stitches in the ribbing. Adjust stitch counts in
the first ribbing round as needed (work decreases or
increases where applicable).
Continue the ribbing for 5 cm (2 in).
BO knitwise.

FINISHING:
Close any holes under the arms, weave in all ends.
Block to measurements and pin the edges flat, until the
garment is completely dry.

Optional: You can fold the collar inwards and fix it loosely.
