reached out to lift the lid. As she opened the chest, a brilliant light flooded the cave, and Sarah's eyes widened in
amazement as she beheld the treasures within.

3. Tell me an example of something that happened before a past action using the Past continuous, simple past
and past perfect. Example: A man was walking when he saw a lady. He had seen her before. Before Jack arrived at
the party (past simple), Sarah had been preparing the snacks (past continuous) for hours. She had carefully
arranged the chips and dip on the table (past perfect) before the guests started to arrive.

• One situation where I experienced a range of emotions was during a solo travelling, I felt a mixture of

and exhilaration as I immersed myself in the stunning natural scenery. Moments of fear and uncertainty
surfaced as I grappled with the isolation and the challenges of navigating through unfamiliar terrain alone.
