Description: The National Trust is a non-profit organization with responsibility for encouraging
public participation in the preservation of sites, buildings, and objects holding significance to American
history and culture. The National Trust provides technical advice and financial assistance to other
non-profit organizations and agencies that are engaged in preservation. The Trust owns and operates 20
historic house museums and publishes numerous publications.

Internship/Seasonal Positions: Projects for interns vary. Former interns have worked on marketing for
the annual conference, researching and writing on historic and preservation issues, research and assisting
on community revitalization projects and writing for the trusts many publications. Positions are both full
and part-time and sone carry a stipend.
