Draft Resolutions

The objective of a committee is to pass a resolution. All

discussions lead up to a resolution of the problem at hand.
An unmoderated caucus to work on the resolution paper is
typically used beforehand.
Draft Resolutions
A working paper is a draft form of a resolution paper. It s still being
forged by the delegates. Once it has been developed to the point that
it is written and formatted accurately it would be presented to the
Chairs for consideration as a draft resolution. Working papers will only
be considered by the Chairs if they are well written, fit the format, 2
sponsors, sponsors and signatories are 1/3 of the comittee.
Once approved, the chair will assign the working paper a resolution
number. Then a delegate would motion the resolution, it is adopted
automatically and can now be debated and referred to by its number
Draft Resolutions
Sponsors: Delegate that has contributed to the language
or ideas includedin the working/resolution paper 'the
author'
Signatory: Do not necessarily agree with the resolution
but would like to see it debated,
Authors' Rights: Dedicated to answering questions. Done
by a simple motion to the chair for authors rights. 3
sponsors of the resolution would be used.
Draft Resolutions
An amendment is a change in the text of a resolution to change the content.
Delegates may propose amendments to resolutions that have been formally
introduced. They need at least 1 signatory and 1 sponsor.

Friendly Amendments: A An unfriendly amendment is a

modification or expansion to the change that one, or more, of the
resolution that is supported by all resolution’s sponsors, do not
