Discussion

Let us define first what do you mean by the

word technique.
Everyone kindly read the definiton of
Tecniques.

Techniques- are approaches of methods you

use as a writer to to organize the information
you have gathered, to accomplish your desire
or aim in writing and aim of your craft.
So, look at your notebook everyone I know
that most of you took notes on our previous
class, are your notes arrange? Techniques are
mostly
Associated on the style that you present your
gathered information and here are some of
techniques we all use to present information.

1.Brainstorming- it is a group creativity

technique by which efforts are made to find a
conclusion for a specific problem by gathering
a list of ideas spontaneously contributed by its
members.
- Popularized by Alex Faickney Osborn imn his
book applied imagination n 1953. When he got
frustrated when his employees could not
generate techniques when they cannot
generate ideas on their own.

A. 1. Cubing- A topic or strategy is

examined in 5 different viewpoints.
• What is the topic
• What is it like or unlike
• What does it make you think of?
• How can it be used
• How can you support or oppose it?

A. 2. Free Writing- A technique where you

just keep on writing and not minding the
errors or grammar. The main objective is
to write what comes to your mind. There
is a goal of 500 words or more, this review
would later help you come up with a
specific topic that interest you.

A. 3. Listing-is creating a list based on what

comes first in your mind. If you inten to
come up with a topic, enumerate them,
but do not ouline thm because outlining
them will require you to organize ideas
items and thoughts.
A. 4. Mapping- Also known as clustering
and webbing. A graphic form of listing
that simply involves jotting of ideas on
a large writing surface and then making
connections by associating similarly
themed with color coded circles or
underline of distint patterns then
indicating other relationships by linking
lines.

Let us pause for a bit, does everyone

If you don’t have questions then let us
continue.
