Further Information

Exploring the potential of new technologies and innovative approaches in

addressing the gender gap in travel behavior (use of public transport
modes) is expected in this study. Questionnaire survey would be helpful to
get insights in this study.

Exploring the potential of new technologies and innovative approaches in

addressing the gender gap in commute travel behavior (use of private
transport modes) is expected in this study. Questionnaire survey would be
helpful to get insights in this study.

A revealed preferences study consisting of respondents’ demographic,

travel information and perceptions related to selected attributes of service
quality will be carried out to examine their attitude and behavior towards
the use of Three-Wheeler taxi services in Sri Lanka” A questionnaire
survey will be conducted.
In this study data will be collected through Google Earth pro and analysis
will be done using Arc GIS.
This study is suggested a questionnaire survey to understand the issues
related to connectivity modes.
This research investigates the key factors influencing drivers' compliance
with traffic rules, particularly related to speeding, alcohol use, mobile
phone use, etc. It examines how both enforcement tools like speed traps
and management devices like traffic camera, signage, rumble strips, and
speed limits impact driver behavior. Additionally, it explores the
relationship between these factors and drivers' involvement in at-fault
speeding-related crashes. A questionnaire will be conducted and collect the
data.

The objective of this study is to enhance the performance of existing

Traffic Control Systems and to analyze the coordination of junctions using
PTV VISSIM. The data collection will be done using cameras in
junctions.” This is collaborative research with EEE department.

This study aims to investigate driver’s knowledge and attitudes related to

road rules.. A questionnaire will be conducted and collect the data.
The objective of this research is to review existing wayfinding and
incorporate data in google services to improve wayfinding in City Areas.

This study focused on inspecting whether the properties of those mixtures

meet the specifications for local roads in Sri Lanka. Accordingly, Marshall
Mix design was conducted for selected replacement percentages. The
issues and challengers for implementations will be identified. It is a
collaborative pilot study with RDA.
This research project, titled "Spatial Analysis to Identify School Crash
Zones in Sri Lanka: Case Study in Colombo District," aims to investigate
and shed light on the current state of school zone identification practices
within Sri Lanka, particularly in the Colombo District.

This research project involves collecting and analyzing road

crash(accident) data from the Sri Lanka Police. Then GIS software, such as
ArcGIS, will be utilized to understand the patterns of road traffic accidents
near schools in the Colombo District. The database analysis and use of GIS
software, such as ArcGIS will be done.

This study is carried out to determine the effectiveness of speed reduction

measures such as road humps to reduce the traffic speed. The second phase
of the study aims to investigate the performance of vehicles at the location
by evaluating the delays and level of service of the selected study areas in
presence of measure and in absence of measure using micro simulation
software VISSIM.
