Learning Activity 1.

Exercises:
A. Answer the following
1. What is ICT?
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a term used to describe
technologies in manipulating and communicating information, especially in relation to
modern telecommunication systems as they have evolved to intensive use of computing
technology coupled with the enormous increase in communications between computers
relying on the telecommunications infrastructure to do so. The two areas have
increasingly merged as telecommunications has moved from analog to digital and then
to packet technologies, and as the Internet has emerged to become one of the
dominant data communications systems in use today.

3. How ICT affect your life?

- Information and communication technology has a significant and different impact on
our daily life, identity, relationships, and plans that goes beyond simple efficiency. As we
move across the digital surroundings, never forget that we have the ability to use
technology as a tool for good, crafting a future that is right, inclusive, and full of the
infinite possibilities that exists inside human creativity. As a college student, information
and communication technology (ICT) strongly influences my daily life by improving
communication, information access, learning options, collaboration, productivity, and
entertainment alternatives. Despite its benefits, challenges like data privacy and the
digital divide need addressing. Embracing ICT responsibly is crucial for shaping a future
where technology serves as a force for positive change.

B. Watch the videos (click the link) below and write your thoughts about the
subject matter.
1. ICT in everyday life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDNkhRuQNKs
- Information and communication technology, or ICT, is part of in every day life and has
an impact on how we work, communicate, learn, and pass the time. We now use ICT on
every day for every purpose from staying in touch with relatives and close friends to
using social media sites. It makes things easier, including purchasing online and getting
news and information. ICT also makes it possible for people to learn online and work via
the internet, doing activities and accessing services from almost anywhere. ICT
improves convenience, interaction, and productivity in our daily lives through the use of
navigation apps, music and video streaming, and online news sources for information.

2. Artificial Intelligence. https://youtu.be/ad79nYk2keg

- The term artificial intelligence (AI) describes a type of intelligence that machines
exhibit as an alternative to the natural intelligence exhibited by human beings and other
animals. The word "artificial" implies that this type of intelligence is additionally natural
or organic in nature; rather, it is made by people. This definition of "intelligence" includes
a machine's capacity to sense its surroundings, learn from mistakes, reason and come
to conclusions, solve problems, and engage with people in a way that represents
human intelligence. Artificial Intelligence, or AI for short, is a branch of technology that
focuses on building machines that can carry out tasks that normally require human
intelligence. Some these are natural language understanding, recognition of patterns,
experience-based learning, and decision-making. Artificial Intelligence (AI) comprises
several subfields, including robotics, computer vision, natural language processing,
machine learning, and expert systems. AI aims to create machines that can replicate,
enhance, or even outperform human intelligence in particular fields.
3. Robotic Process Automation. https://youtu.be/H5VKUajGDdI
-RPA, which stands for robotic process automation, is a technology that automates
routine, based on rules processes that were previously completed by humans by using
software robots, or "bots". To do operations like entry of data, information extraction,
form filling, report production, and more, these bots communicate with computerized
systems, applications, and data. RPA seeks to increase productivity, decrease errors,
optimize workflows, and set up human beings to work on more important tasks.
4. Block Chain Technology. https://youtu.be/E2JRnFgrztM
- Block chain technology is a global information storage system that creates an
irreversible and secure record of transactions across several machines. A historical and
transparent record of transactions is created for each block in the chain by including a
timestamp, transaction data, and a digitally encrypted hash of the previous block. This
technology has applications across a number of industries, including financing,
managing supply chains, healthcare, and more. It also removes the need for mediators
and improves security, transparency, and visibility.
