ENGLISH SPEAKING SPEECH – ANIMAL CRUELTY

TESTING

Hello everyone, I’m Sania which you all probably know and today I’m
going to talk about animal cruelty and testing.

Imagine if you were the one being tested on, imagine your skin
being torn off alive, imagine your arms and legs being ripped off, just
so that you can satisfy another species. Doesn’t sound too good,
does it? So many of you may be wondering what animal cruelty
actually is. Animal cruelty is the act of violence against animals;
just so that people like me and you can continue with our normal
lives. Now, ask yourselves what is more important:mascara or a
living, breathing organism. They live and breathe just like us, they
have hearts and feelings, and so what makes it okay to make them
suffer just for some makeup products. I stand in front of you today,
to make you all aware that animal cruelty is not at all okay and why
it must be stopped. I am going to talk to you all about three
things:the different types of animal cruelty, animal testing and why
animal cruelty should be abolished.

Firstly,I believe that there are several types of animal cruelty that
many people disregard. When you think of animal abuse your mind
probably automatically just thinks violence being inflicted on a
certain animal or leaving it out in the cold, but those are just some
forms of animal cruelty. There are also people who are making
animals fight each other until one suffers a painful death, just for
entertainment. Additionally, each year, thousands of young and
healthy Greyhounds are killed just because they cannot be used for
racing purposes. Statistics shows that 12,569 animals are being
cruelly treated every day in Australia alone. 65% of those are dogs.
Imagine your dog, your best friend, being forced to fight another
dog, ts ears ripped off, its legs pulled apart, yelping for yor help, but
you sitting there not being able to do anything.

Next, I am going to talk about animal testing. Society doesn’t

realise how serious animal testing is, they are just doing it for their
own selfish selves. It happens all around the world and nothing is
being done to stop it, only encouraging it. Worldwide, at least 22
animals die every second in the labs due to animal testing. Why is is
that this terrible deed is occurring in our world and yet we are not
doing anything about it? People seem to think that humans are most
superior to everyone and we are the only ones that deserve to live
on this planet. But I want to tell you that, that is wrong. Right now
millions of mice, rabbit, cats, dogs and other animals are locked
inside cold, barren cages in labs across the country. They sit in pain
and fear, waiting to see what other painful procedure awaits them.
Animal testing is like a disease, we must stop the spread.

Lastly, I am now going to talk about why animal cruelty should be

abolished. I want you to imagine your eyes being blinded, your skin
being burnt off, your hair being ripped off or your arms being torn off.
In today’s society, that is just an imagination but for animals it is a
reality, a reality that costs them their life. Every year animal cruelty
increase but we must stop this. Animal cruelty is a disregarded
social problem that affects the world in a negative way and we are
the only ones who can change that.

In conclusion, I have discusses three arguments:the different types

of animal cruelty such as animal fighting, animal testing which is
done for human products and why animal cruelty should be
abolished as it is a horrendous act. I want you all to think of the
lives that the animals live as they wait for their death, think about
the harm that is happening to these poor creature just for washable
product. Animal cruelty isn’t something that can be stopped by just
one person, it needs an entire group. So, I ask you, what are you
going to do about animal cruelty?
