Archetypes

Each archetype defines, broadly, how your character will play the game. Will you cast spells, or will
you fight with a weapon.

At 1st, 5th, 11th, and 17th level you will have the option of choosing either to take a martial ability or,
until the next martial ability, gain 1 mage level each time your character levels up.
Mage Levels
At the end of every long rest, any character with mage levels may trade one spell of each level for a
different spell of the same level.

Whenever a character gains a mage level, they may switch out half (rounded up) of their spells for
different ones, of the same or different spell levels.

When a character gains a mage level for the first time they must pick an ability from INT, WIS, and
CHA to be their spellcasting ability; and they must pick a spell list. The options of which are: Arcane,
Divine, or Primal. The full lists of each can be found later.
