as means of preserving unchanging values in a changing world; also, how to use the features of a full-
length play, tense consistency, modals, active and passive constructions plus direct and indirect
speech to enable him/her competently performs in a full-length play.
ESSENTIAL UNDERSTANDING:
The students will understand that:
The learner competently performs in a full- length play through applying effective verbal and
Non-verbal strategies and ICT resources based on the following criteria: Focus, Voice, Delivery, and
Dramatic Conventions.

 How can non-verbal, verbal strategies and ICT resources contribute to the learner’s lifelong learning?
 How can a learner perform a full-length play?

 Focus (TOPIC): ADJECTIVE PREPOSITION PAIRS

 Motivation: SING IT TO GUESS IT


The teacher will be playing a series of songs where some of the lyrics are removed.
Directions:
 All of the students must sing first the song that are played by the teacher. Then, they will guess the
missing lyrics.
 After the whole class sings the song, the teacher will ask some students what word/s is/are missing.

 Activating Prior Knowledge (APK)

-Which of the eight parts of speech does the missing words belong?
LESSON DEVELOPMENT
Presentation of concepts
The students will be able to select the right preposition to be use in a sentence
The students will be able to construct sentences that contains adjective plus preposition
Activities: (Acquisition of knowledge/ skills through differentiated activities/ strategies which are aligned to TG,
EU, EQ)

Engagement Activity: WHERE’S MY PREPOSITION?


On the board, the teacher will be pasting incomplete sentences, the students will then choose
a preposition out from the provided prepositions in the box that will complete the sentences.

Mechanics:
 The students will be grouped into three
 Each group will be given printed preposition words that they will be using to supply the missing
prepositions of each sentences.
 Each group will choose one member per question who will race in answering each sentences
using the printed preposition words that the teacher gave them.
