In the recent years many people use social media to interact online has become a broad issue to the

general public. Some people believe that this issue has many positive side. However, others think that it
could also have some negative effects. In my opinion, its cons could never overshadow its pros.
Disccused below are several reasons supporting my perspective.

On the one hand, there are some benefit of the phenomenon that using social media to replace face-to-
face. In the first place, using social media allows people to connect to their friends or relatives
everywhere. For instance, students studying abroad can be video call or chat with their parents or
friends on daily basis using applications such as facebook, messager, zalo… Moreover, the social media
also helps people to make friends with others across the global. A recent research hament is thas found
that having international friends has become more common as these social networking sites offer friend-
finding tools.

On the other hand, in addition to the important advantages of this phenomenon, its also has some
disadvantages. One convingcing argument is that the use of social media make people reluctant to leave
the house. Furthemore, Looking at the screen for a long time will lead to eye disease and make them feel
tired. According to experts have pointed out that today there are many people addicted to social media
of all ages. Finally, the use of social medial can cause them to lose their information. Take my friend as a
typical example, his information was leaked because he logged on to a strange website.

In conclusion, the above mentioned facts have outlined the benefits as well as the drawbacks on this
issue, and its drawbacks should be taken into account. Government should take advantage of the pros
and minimize the cons of this tendency
