Case Summary

The client was a 14-year-old religious boy who offers prayer and recite Holy Qur'an

regularly. He ran away from his family at the age of 10 years. He was dropout of 3rd grade

and started helping in the kitchen. He was rescued by Child Protection and Welfare Bureau

form bike repairing shop. He was referred to internee psychologist with the complaints of

anger outburst, bullying, drop-out from school, emotional issues, attention seeking behaviour

and poor concentration. Rapport building was done at first stage to ensure the comfort of

client with the therapist. Assessment was carried out informally including client’s clinical

interview, behavioural observation and by obtaining subjective ratings from warden, chef and

a clinical psychologist available at the Bureau. 6-week management plan was made to be

followed. Client showed improvements in different domains but two domains were still

below average.
