Dear students and staff, parents and carers,

Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but
if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is made complete in us. (1 John 4: 11-12)

Huge congratulations are due to our Y7 Cricket Team for winning the Westminster Kwik Cricket Finals.
The girls showed excellent focus, skill and team spirit. The team included Lowena, Ellen, Mirabel, Libby,
Georgina, Markieu, and Nicola. This is a great achievement, well done to all!

We are proud of Amy in Year 13 who has been successful at gaining a place in the England Mixed U18
Golfing Championships in Effingham. She has also been chosen to represent Essex Ladies in their County
Championships. This is a great testimony to Amy’s commitment, skill and focus. We look forward to
what she will achieve in the forthcoming competitions this summer half term. Good luck, Amy!

We also congratulate Alicia in Year 8 who continues her swimming successes. Most recently, she won
the gold medal and was crowned London Regional Champion for the 13-15 age group artistic swimming
figures routine. A wonderful achievement, well done, Alicia!

Year 10 Textiles students enjoyed a trip to the Victoria and Albert Museum, where they undertook
some primary research for their forthcoming coursework projects. They looked at a range of garments
from as early as the 1700s, featuring everything from corsetry and crinolines to the Harry Styles
cardigan! The students were asked to specifically focus on a few key areas relevant to their projects –
fashion and the environment; clothing as a way of storing and safeguarding possessions; and clothing for
playing games. The sun shone and they had a gorgeous afternoon!
With best wishes,

Susanne Staab
