Joanne Rowling, better known by her pen name J. K. Rowling, is a British
author and philanthropist. She is infamous for her Harry Potter trilogy that she
published from 1997 to 2007. She was born in Yate, United Kingdom in July
31, 1965. She is currently married to Dr Neil Murray. Their marriage was since
2001. She was previously married to Her 3 children are Jessica Arantes,
David Murray, and Mackenzie Murray. Her mother died in 30 december 1990
due to multiple sclerosis.

Joanne is two years older than her sister, Dianne. The family moved to
Winterbourne, Gloucestershire when Joanne was four .She began at St
Michael's Church of England Primary School in Winterbourne when she was
five. Joanne wrote her first story which was titled “Rabbit”, inspired by Richard
Scarry, an American children’s author and illustrator, creatures that were in his
books. In secondary school at Wyedean School and College, some teachers
were impressed with Joanne’s imagination. Rowling was inspired by her
favourite teacher, Lucy Shepherd, who taught her the importance of structure
and precision in writing.As a young teenager, Joanne was given by her
great-aunt Hons and Rebels, the autobiography of the civil rights activist
Jessica Mitford. Mitford became Rowling's heroine, and she read all her
books.
Living in a small town with pressures at home, Rowling became more
interested in her schoolwork. She took A-levels in English, French, and
German and achieved two As and a B. She also applied for Oxford University
but then got rejected. Instead, she studied French and the classics at the
University of Exeter even though she always wanted to be a writer.
Unfortunately, she was an average student.
After university, Rowling moved to a flat in Clapham Junction with friends. She
took a course to become a bilingual secretary. Amnesty International hired her
to document human rights issues in French-speaking Africa.She began writing
adult novels while she worked as a temp. They were never published.
While she was on a train, the three main characters, Harry Potter, Ron
Weasley, and Hermione Granger, came into her mind. They just did. Just like
that. Probably because they meet on a train. When she arrived home she
began writing. At the time she was writing Harry Potter, her mom died. This
affected her writing deeply. She even wrote a book about her mother’s death
titled “Mirror of Erised.” Rowling completed Harry Potter and the Philosopher's
Stone in June 1995.
The initial draft included an illustration of Harry by a fireplace, showing a
lightning-shaped scar on his forehead.
In a lot of her stories, including Harry Potter, Rowling often explores complex
issues of morality, love, and the power of friendship.

Her most famous work is obviously the seven-volume fantasy series, Harry
Potter. Which was her greatest achievement.

J.K. Rowling had relations to other female authors.

● Her friendship with author Jessica Mitford, who wrote “Hons and
Rebels.”
● Her public support for Suzanna Collins, who wrote the book series, “The
Hunger Games.”
J.K. Rowling is good and all but every famous celebrity, writer, etc has been
through controversy. Oh and this one kind of ruined Harry Potter for many
people.
Her comments and canon facts about the Harry Potter universe were
very bizarre and even disgusting honestly. I won’t include all the canon
facts because it’s too inappropriate and this is a school assignment.
Examples:
● Harry Potter has a second scar in the shape of the lgbtq rights symbol.
What the hell?!!
● “Hermione was actually black and an amputee, I just forgot to mention
it” says JK Rowling. Um…what?

There’s more confirmed information but I said this is a school assignment.

cancel culture.
