Children will first read the book The Amazing Life Cycle of Plants, They children will be able
to plant their own seeds and talk about the different ways they need to take care of the
plants.

Beginning of Activity
Begin by reading The Amazing Life Cycle of Plants
Opening statement
After reading our book, what did you think a seed needs to grow,( talk about the importance
of plants getting the nutrients they need to grow.) How can we make our seeds grow? I
have different kinds of seeds that you can pick from to choose which plant you want to
grow.
Middle of Activity
Early: Student manipulates and plays with the soil and seeds.
Middle: Student haphazardly plants their seeds in their soil.
Later: Student makes purposeful movements when planting their seeds in their soil,
makes sure to water their plant.
End of Activity
Students will plant their seeds and share what they have decided to plant, they then will
share how they are gonna take care of their plants to make sure that they grow.
