ICT’s MMXM - How To Utilize It

There truly is no holy grail in trading. Any strategy with
a statistical edge can be profitable.. But with that being
said, I genuinely believe MMXM is about as close as
you’ll get to finding a “holy grail.” Everything is a
MMXM. This IS the market.
Before we get into the details, we must first
understand the logic behind why MMXM works.

This is smart money, and this is us, simply catching a

ride with them.

Smart money is constantly generating liquidity, and

pairing their orders with willing buyers/sellers.

With MMXM we can capitalize on smart money’s order

mitigation, allowing us the be the little fish, catching a
ride on the underside of their belly.
MMXM stands for Market Maker Buy Model or Market
Maker Sell Model

In MMXM, there are two sides of the curve:

- Buyside of the curve (bullish orderflow)
- Sellside of the curve (bearish orderflow)
Phases of MMBM

- Original Consolidation
- Distribution
- Smart Money Reversal
- Accumulation
- Re - Accumulation
In an MMBM, smart money distributes price lower to
an inefficiency or area of liquidity (HTF discount
array). Proceeds to mitigate their shorts from the
sellside of the curve, while also flipping net long. Then
along the buyside of the curve, they continue to
accumulate long positions and mitigate their short
positions that they previously held to drive price lower.
Once they are net long, they pair their longs at the
original consolidation.

- Distribution
- Re - Distribution
In an MMSM, smart money sends price higher to an
inefficiency or area of liquidity (HTF premium array).
Proceeds to mitigate their longs from the buyside of
the curve, while also flipping net short. Then along the
sellside of the curve, they continue to distribute short
positions and mitigate their long positions that they
previously held to drive price higher. Once they are
net short, they pair their shorts at the original
consolidation.

Put simply, it is all order pairing for smart money.

MMXM allows us to capitalize on it.
