“In the image picture shown the conventions citing sources”
earlier, what was all about our
discussion?"

Let’s proceed to the discussion.

 Abstraction
A citation style is a set of
guidelines on how to cite Lara: “Most of the time, your school,
sources in your academic department, or instructor will specify
writing. You always need a the citation style you should use in
citation whenever you quote,
your writing. It's best to check the
paraphrase, or summarize a
source to avoid plagiarism. policies of your school or ask someone
if you're unsure. For submissions to
Types of citation: journals, a particular style is typically

numerical

The clearest identifying

characteristic of any citation
style is how the citations in the
text are presented. There are
three main approaches:
Parenthetical citations: You
include identifying details of the
source in parentheses in the text
—usually the author’s last name
and the publication date, plus a
page number if relevant (author-
date). Sometimes the
publication date is omitted
(author page).

Numerical citations: You include

a number in brackets or in
superscript, which corresponds
to an entry in your numbered
reference list.
Note citations: You include a full
citation in a footnote or
endnote, which is indicated in
the text with a superscript
number or symbol.

How to write Bibliography? Sara: “A bibliography is a list of the

sources that the author of a work used
to generate it. It is a component of
almost every academic writing
assignment, including essays, research
papers, and reports. When the author
feels it's important to cite their source,
you might also discover a quick, less
formal bibliography at the end of a
journalistic article, presentation, or
video.”

What is Citation? Clara: “A source is cited in a citation. A

citation is, more precisely, a condensed
alphanumeric phrase that appears in
the text of an intellectual work and
designates an entry in the bibliographic
references section of the work in order
to acknowledge the applicability of
other people's works to the topic under
discussion at the location where the
citation appears.”

The point of an in-text citation is

to show your reader where your
information comes from.
Including citations:
1. Avoids plagiarism by
acknowledging the original
author’s contribution 2. Allows
readers to verify your claims and
do follow-up research
3. Shows you are engaging with
the literature of your field
Academic writing is seen as an
ongoing.
“Do you have any questions?

Students: None, ma’am!

 Application
Write your citation in your
sources.

TITLE:____________
AUTHOR: __________
PUBLISHER:_________
DATE OF PUBLICATION:_____
Pass it after 30 minutes.
V. Assessment:

Closing Prayer:
We appreciate the many hours the professors put into assisting the
children in reaching their best potential. We are grateful for the parents that
make such a great deal of effort to provide their kids with every chance to
learn. Amen!
