Trial Mix were prepared, Slump measured, Concrete Cubes were cast and tested for ascertaining the
Compressive Strength at 07 & 28 days. In the Lab, Trial mixes indicate the mix 1 : 1.91 : 3.06 by weight
with W/C ratio 0.48 gives desired strength.
Note : The free Water content of 168 Liters per cubic meter of concrete is based on saturated Surface dry
(SSD) condition of both fine and coarse aggregates. At site, adjustment are to be made in the free water
content depending upon the actual conditions of aggregates.
