THE FUNDAMENTALS OF FASHION DESIGN

This is a great book to help you understand the process of getting involved in fashion
design, from the initial stage of brainstorming ideas to the final creation on the catwalk. It
explains the entire process, including sections on fabrics, patterns and sewing, how to
showcase ideas, how to market them, and more.
While the book layouts are visually appealing and unique, they also tell you "how to read
this book". I agree that this would be a great book as a starting point for those interested
in "Fundamentals of Fashion Design", a really relevant title. The positive aspect of the
book is that it contains many quotes, pictures and images about the designers' collections
and design process: sketches, models, inspiration, center pages status and tables.
This is definitely a book for students of fashion design. However, if you need to know
the business because you write about it or have a relationship with it or are just interested
in how it's done, this is a great book as it covers everything but doesn't go away. down to
the smallest detail. details that can only be used for fashion designers. So it's general
enough to be a great read for non-fashion designers, but detailed enough to be a great
introductory text for fashion design students. However, I see it as more of a desk book
than a book that I want to refer to. That's not to say it's a bad book - it really tells you so
many aspects of each process, it's just that each is a useful little bit that I find mostly
useless for those who know. what it is and hard to describe to those who don't. Overall
great, really easy to read with lots of illustrations and pictures to understand something
really intuitive.
