Welcome!

Throughout this website, I discuss the inside information towards the

Utah nursing shortage. This topic has quickly become something that I am passionate
about, as my knowledge about the situation has grown. This problem has such an impact
on the overall well-being of the state, and it's an issue needing a fix. The difficulties of
finding nursing instructors, as well as pay, and the eruption of the prominent covid-19
outbreak. These issues, although very reasonable, have affected the state in a crazy,
unbelievable way. The career itself has shifted, changing the way that nurses are looked
upon. Patients rely on the nursing staff to help them feel seen and heard. Hospitals
typically become a safe space for everyone who's there.

Between every nurse, and her career, come many obstacles. The amount of stress
can be difficult for the nurses to continue to face work with. Among the stress, and the
constant fear of doing the wrong, is the outside issues that flood into the career that they
have chosen.

Throughout this magazine, I worked to fully develop the proper research. I found
ways to continue my knowledge and understand every reason that the nursing shortage
has become the problem that it is. I feel that I wouldn't have been able to comprehend the
ways behind the issue, and felt that with every quote, every sentence, and every site that I
found, I was able to understand the best way to go about teaching my readers more about
it specifically. I believe that with anything, it's good to try to see the full picture. It gets
easier to determine the good, the real, and the valid points, at times when more
information is prominent. This helps make things make sense. For this magazine, I felt that
the best way to approach the nursing shortage was to start by bringing more of my own
personal background to the nursing industry and why I was most connected to it.

As you read through this website, please note that there are multiple sides to every
story. There are ways to see things even if you don’t agree with them, and I want to
encourage you to do your best to do so. Sometimes the terms “shortage”, or “career” are
used in different ways, depending on who is speaking about them. Keep this in mind as
there are always different points of view and all views can be reasonable. Everyone
deserves their opinion to be viewed, and in this case, all views can lead to help, and a
happy solution for everyone can be found.

As I created this website, I wanted to create a friendly and welcoming space for all
my readers. I wanted this to be a place of learning, and not judging. For open minds to see
what is truly happening within the nursing industry, and maybe find ways to better support
what is going on outside of our control. There is so much that we as a community can do
regarding the state nursing shortage, and so little action that is being taken to help.
