1. Introduction of the Problem and Objectives

 Since the topic itself gives an insight into the project to be taken up, the student is
suggested to be reasonable on the name/title of the project. The title being the
overall impression on the complete work, the topic should substantiate the work.
 General Introduction to problem including its source
 Specific Objectives. This should give a clear picture and final outcome of the
project. Objectives should be clearly specified. What the project ends up to and in
what way it is going to help the end user has to be mentioned.
 Justification of Objectives (Explain in at least 100 words the reasons, why should
the department approve your project)
 Strength and limitation of your proposed work.

2. Literature review

 At least 5-10 conference / Journal / White papers / Project Thesis / Monograph/


Articles etc which reviews the problem, previous solutions proposed and gaps in
the work. The literature should also discuss about the solutions proposed by
authors.

3. Methodology and Workflow

 This section will illustrate the tentative strategy adopted to solve the problem.
This includes the requirements, flowchart/algorithm/DFD/ER Diagrams/
Transition Diagrams depicting the workflow. The detailed explanation is expected
including timeframes. The requirement of the resources for designing and
developing the proposed system must be given. The resources might be in form of
the hardware / software or real time data. The limitations of the proposed system
in respect of a larger and comprehensive system must be given in the synopsis
itself.

4. Conclusions

 The document must end with the concluding remarks-briefly describing


innovations in implementing the project and also any other important feature that
makes the system stands out from the rest.

 Explain in at least 100 words what will be the positive impact of the project on
society/academics/college/industry.
5. Specific Contributions of Team Members

 The specific contribution of each team member should be explicitly mentioned in


this section.

6. Key References

The complete list of books (chapter listing, topic listing), website links (complete
URLs) and research papers (title and authors, year of publications) have to be
mentioned. Follow Chicago reference style to list key references.
