Even though every sentence should have at least a subject and a verb, more often we will encounter more

words and it is important to understand each of them. Breaking down the parts of speech is actually quite
useful to bring you back to a time in each they were explained to you as a student and your understanding of
it is different comparing to seeing them now as an adult. In other words, instead of getting such knowledge
and absorbing it as your education progresses, you are now the one making sense to it to young learners.
Which means it is absolutely necessary for you to master it, not to perfection, but enough to allow your
students to understand and have confidence on what they are learning.
The usage of adjectives in a sentence can differ especially when you are describing something or someone,
so it is important to know the basics of what would make a better sense of understanding, but following the
context of which you are at that specific moment is indeed a good suggestion.
The adjectives of more than two syllables’ examples are either a huge refresher or something I wasn’t
exposed to as a child. We are often given less details about it and taught how to work with adjectives in
repetition.
For articles it is important to remember how the sound can modify which (a or an) suits best.
e.g: a uniform. To help determine a general idea of adverbs placement following a pattern to avoid what we see as
common mistakes. Another interesting approach in which we often forget about is that Present Participle and Gerunds are
different things. In regards to pronouns, the key is the difference between possessive pronoun and possessive adjective,
which describes the a common error we see in classrooms even for native speaking students, so naturally it should be quite
confusing for students learning as a foreign language. Lastly, is not much of big issue in my opinion as far as teaching goes,
but it important to remember that some connectors in a sentence are the so called conjunctions.
