UNSC YEMEN CIVIL WAR- FIRST ONE

-We, from Dominican Republic, can offer the humanity help from the ONG called
TECHO. Relating to this lack of homes, caused by bombings and attacks, families are
living in safer places, like landfills, and the ONG TECHO had already built one thousand
and twenty nine emergency houses, that are a possible and considerable help for the
population.
Its not much, but every help, even if it is small, its necessary.

-Another topic that is related to our last speech is that one hospital from Medecins san
frontiers was destroyed in 2015 by aerial attacks, and like US said, if we put together
every small forces we have, we can unite …

-We all know that the gulf of Aden, that connects the Red Sea, Arabian Sea and

- We would just like to answer something that the Russian federation said, We
already have lots of ONGs working in Yemen, that are trying their best to help
the Yemenis, but all help that we can get is necessary, as US has already said.
Yemen has 8 millions of civilians that can die if the humanity help don’t achieve
them. So we can’t masseur forces to help them with all the problems they are
having, like malnutrition, pestilences and epidemics, like cholera, that has
accomplished 14 millions of civilians

- Most of the countries gathered here have interest in there, like the gulf of Aden, an
important economic route of petroleum , but , it is not a smart way to think that a
country should be the mediator, its interest to all countries to debate about, to figure
out the best way to act in the case, or don’t have a country, just a UNSC
representative, that would think in an impartial way, economically talking, and make
the best decisions for the country. We, delegations, should be putting the population
on the top of our priorities, relating to the Yemen Civil War and its situation.

-All P5 to be the mediators

- All of the proposals are valid, (falo do pq elas sao validas), but I believe that it is
important to polarize, or certificate that all the countries interest, that should
be the civilians, are being consider in this agreement. Avoiding this conflict that
you are creating on nothing

- 8.053 civilians died because of this conflict, and now, with this mine explosion,
god knows how much more died in this incident, we, as the UN, should find an
emergent way to avoid this type of conflict, and focus on the population
security. Relating to our topic in other speeches, if some people didn’t died, or
get injured, they probably lost their houses. This terrorist attacks are one of the
 - biggest problem that we have to deal with, so we should pay more attention to
their movements and avoid, as much as we can, that this terrorist attacks don’t
destroy the structure that has left, differently from the hospital from medicine
san frontier, that was destroyed by aerial attacks in 2015, and interrupted a lot
of treatments.

SECOND ONE:

-This is not the first time it happens, that is a lot of food stuck in the seaport that are
probably going to spoil, and for now, there are 7 millions of people starving at yemen,
considering that 4.5 millions are children and women in breast-feed process. So
regarding what Indonesia and China said, is better to see a new route, because people
need us right now.

could send representatives of each country to help in the passage of the
medicines, food and other supplies at the seaport

- a lot of representatives of present nations here are there and this is something
that we should resolve now, so we from Dominican republic propose that we,
representatives of UN should bring a massage of peace, and try to get in an
agreement with them, taking care about every movement that we take. The
status is unknown, but we should act as fast as we can, because that are lives
that are in danger. The Houthis are clearly terrorist, it is not a considerable
recourse to kidnap a plane to protest in relation to its situation, but a brusque
movement from our part could just put an end to our representatives’ lives.

- . First, we believe that we should stop losing our time trying to classify the
Houthis, this is not our priority at the moment, so let’s please focus on our
main goal. We strongly believe that all the delegations in this room are totally
in favor of helping our representatives and we have an idea. An option to find
this kidnapped plane, that should be our priority, is trying to locate some
advice or gadget, like computers or cellphones, to find an approximated
location. It is a good option, principally in the case that this works in most of
the times. This is not assured, so we would like to hear others possible ideas.

considerando a proposta deles, apenas depois que eles pousassem. E dizer q
não adianta ser agressivo ou entre aspas mentir, por que isso pode causar mais
problemas e ataques

- We believe that if we are moving mountains to donate humanity aid, a gente

precisa achar uma forma de retirarlos de la, mta gnt vai morrer se

- A gente pode falar tipo, acreditamos q primeiramente é importante que o

estado do Iêmen deve primeiro se firmar, de forma com que não haja
 movimentos separatistas e que ele se estabilize em um patamar bom em
relação as questões sociais e econômicas.

- Tipo, dizer que aplicar uma sanção a longo prazo, ou seja, futuramente, por que
no momento não seria mto bom para o estado.
