A Defining relative clauses has A non-defining relative clause adds

meaning of its sentences, It tells you it is not actually necessary. If you take

Grammar – Defining Relative Clauses

 A defining relative clause comes immediately after a noun and gives us


information about noun

 They can come in the middle or the end of the sentence

No defining relative clauses.

 Non defining relative clauses come after a noun and gives extra
information about noun
 They can go in the middle or at the end of sentences , and start with a
comma and end with a comma or full stop.
 In non- defining relative clause ,we use who , whose , where and which ,
but we don’t use that

Ali was the son of a farmer. His father's farm was poor, and Ali worked on
