Instructions:
1.Pick which author you want to write about
2.Pick and write about of the author’s major known works of
in one of the following genres: drama, fiction or poetry.
3.Research and use at least each 3 sources from (Textbook,
Book, Internet, and No Wikipedia)
4.Annotate the main parts you think are worth arguing, comparing, mentioning,
point out differences and so on.
5.Analyze and breakdown what you have read
Writing Requirements:
1. MLA Format including paraphrasing, in-text citations, and quotes
2. Create an outline (Must turn in with your writing assignment
to receive grade)
3. Double spaced
4. 12-inch font
5. Cited work page (No Cited Work = Automatic “F” grade).
6.Page numbers

Here are some ideas and questions to consider, but not limited to the
following:

 Author’s well know works, if any
 What era or time period was the author’s work written?
 Do any of the author’s work represent their time period or society at
the time?
 What do you think the author is expressing in most of their work?
 What is the main idea?
 Who are the main characters, if any?
 What roles do each of the main characters play?
 Any issues that are implied?
 What are your own perspectives and views on what you have read?
 Can you relate to these stories?
 Compare and contrast
 Cause and effect
  Clear detailed descriptions and examples

 Note: Please, do not write your paper by just answering in

question formatted paper only. The goal is to critically think,
incorporate what you have read, analyze, breakdown material, give
your own views when completing this assignment.
