Reflection Essay #2

Being able to maintain a coherent focus that remains relevant to my thesis was something
I learned while writing essay one and stayed with me throughout essay two. For instance, I was
off course and included numerous pieces that had nothing to do with the essay's main topic.
Following Feedback, I managed to maintain that cohesive focus and incorporate what I had
learned into my visual analysis. However, also learning how to properly write a genre analysis, is
something I did not use or apply to my visual analysis. Even though both essays are analyses,
they differ greatly in terms of your writing style and the actions you.
Moving forward, something I learned that could apply to other courses is how to analyze
and dissect an image. An example of this is being able to apply this to a business marketing class.
Something I learned from essay two that won’t apply to other classes is learning how to write a
visual analysis. I don’t believe I would be taking any classes that would require this type of
writing.
Next, I believe that being able to analyze visual elements improves my writing skills by
providing critical thinking, and observation skills, and having effective communication with an
audience. Developing these skill sets and habits will help me approach other writings in the
future.
From peer review comments, I believe my strengths changed along with a different set of
weaknesses. My transitions from paragraph to paragraph my transitions are still well within the
standard. My weaknesses changed in the sense of lacking information in some places to support
my ideas. My weakness in my first essay was not following the genre.
I believe my essay comments would be better than my first essay. I believe I wrote an
excellent essay and listened to your comments. Hopefully, more remarks recognizing my
advancement will be made. The absence of details in places is something that’ll be similar.
The most challenging aspect of this essay was the critical thinking needed to thoroughly
explain the album cover. On the other hand, the least challenging was picking what visual I
wanted to write about.
I think my identity changed by, again, gaining skill sets I didn’t have before writing the
essay. An example of this is being able to observe something and thoroughly write about it
