DESCRIPTION OF TASK
The topics to be assessed will be:

• Equations Y8 Cambridge Ch 2 & da Vinci supplement

• Rates and Ratio Y8 Cambridge Ch 5 & da Vinci supplement

• Data Collection, Representation & Analysis Y8 Cambridge Ch 9 Sections A-J & da Vinci
supplement

SUBMISSION DETAILS
• Students will bring with them their Geometry set, ruler, lead pencil, eraser, writing pens,
sharpener and a scientific calculator.
• It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that they reschedule any music lessons or
appointments with the counsellor that clash with the date of this assessment task.

SUGGESTED STRATEGIES FOR PREPARATION

• Complete some of the past papers that are available on the Knox Portal.
• Attempt the Chapter Review Exercises.
• You will also be assessed on sections G, H, I and J in Chapter 2 and content in the da Vinci
supplement for these topics.
• You should also look at harder questions from the textbook, in particular: 2A Q17, 18, 2D Q15,
2E Q17, 2F Q14, 5A Q19, 5C Q19, 5H Q20, 9H, 9B Q14, 9E Q13, 9F Q11, 9G Q17, 18, 9I Q15,
9J Q14.
