billion rupees for the poor and middle class of the country in Ramadan 2024.

In the month of Ramadan, more than 3 crore 96 lakh families are being provided food items at cheap
prices.

Under the Benazir Income Support Program, 19 items including flour, rice, pulses, ghee, edible oil, sugar,
milk are being provided from Khuronoosh Bazaar to eligible 88% families.

A subsidy of Rs 77 per kg is being given on a 20 kg bag of flour and Rs 70 per kg on ghee.

The Prime Minister's Ramadan relief package is being distributed to deserving families through 4,775
utility stores across the country.

Distribution of Prime Minister's Ramadan Relief Package has been started across the country which will
continue till Chand Raat.

Providing food items to the poor and middle-class families at a lower price than the market is the first
priority of the government.

No compromise is accepted on the quality of food items provided in the Ramadan relief package.

The quality of the items distributed in the Ramadan package should be closely monitored.

It should be ensured that the deserving people who come to get the Ramadan package do not face any
kind of problem.

Increase counters and establish mobile units for distribution of Ramadan package, especially cheap
flour.

Strict action should be taken against those who artificially increase the prices of other essential items
and hoarders in the holy month of Ramadan.

Regarding the Ramadan relief package, its complete guidance should be conveyed to the poor and
middle class people so that they do not face any kind of difficulty in getting the items under the package
in time.

The system should be made more integrated and effective for immediate redressal of the complaints of
the people who came to get the package.

Any kind of negligence and laxity will not be tolerated regarding the Ramadan relief package.

The government will not leave the poor and middle class people alone who are worried about inflation
during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Prime Minister also directed to distribute the quarterly installment of 10 thousand 500 rupees to
the deserving people under the Benazir Income Support Program.

The Prime Minister also directed to distribute an additional 2 thousand rupees per family to the
deserving people under the Benazir Income Support Program of Balochistan.
A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif
regarding the Prime Minister's Ramadan Relief Package and Benazir Income Support Program.

Senator Ishaq Dar, Ahad Khan Cheema, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Rumina Khurshid Alam and related senior
officials participated in the meeting.

The meeting was informed in detail about the Prime Minister's Ramadan relief package. The meeting
was told that on the instructions of the Prime Minister, a Ramadan relief package worth 7.5 billion
rupees is being provided to the poor and middle class in Ramadan this year, which includes 19 food
items including flour, pulses, ghee, edible oil, sugar, and beverages. is being provided at a lower price
than the market. The meeting was further informed that the rate of subsidy given in the Prime
Minister's Ramadan package this Ramadan is 30 percent which is higher than the rate of inflation in the
country.

In the briefing, it was also informed that more than 39.6 million families are being provided with the
Prime Minister's Ramadan Relief Package, which includes almost all the poor and low-income middle
class people of the country. Moreover, those who have come to get the Prime Minister's Ramadan Relief
Package, who will face registration problems, under the current system, there is the facility of
registration on their own. Apart from this, a coordinated and effective system has been established for
the redressal of complaints, which is solving the complaints of the beneficiaries immediately.

While informing the Prime Minister about Benazir Income Support Program, it was told that with the
special efforts and attention of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the quarterly assistance amount of the
poor and deserving families registered under Benazir Income Support has been substantially increased
to 10,500. has been done. The Prime Minister issued instructions that the immediate distribution of
these amounts to the deserving people should be ensured in the month of Ramadan itself. Apart from
this, the Prime Minister directed that deserving families of Balochistan who are registered under the
Benazir Income Support Program should be distributed a quarterly assistance amount of 10,500 and an
additional 2,000 rupees.

The Prime Minister further directed that a nationwide awareness campaign should be conducted
regarding the distribution of the Ramadan relief package so that the deserving people would not only
have access to information about this but also that this package could reach as many eligible deserving
people as possible.
