Peace: humanity´s eternal and elusive dream

Centuries ago talking about world peace was something really innocent, but the truth is that
never in human history existed such a possibility to finally find it. The meaning of the word
peace is something really abstract. It can mean that there aren´t conflicts or wars but it also
means a social reform. At least for me finding peace comes with changing the mind of those
that always want to have more than others, or those that are not happy enough with being
rich, instead of this they start wars searching for more richness and power, or those that don´t
respect the international laws.

At present a lot of conflicts exist no matter where you are. Humanity has been working for
centuries trying to destroy the discrimination against women or black skin persons. At least for
me, one of the main causes of the problems that exist in our societies is the governments that
put their own interests first than the common good and don´t care about citizen´s life for
making their objectives true.

A lot of examples of discrimination come to our mind if we go back to our country´s or world´s
history. First the black slaves that were taken from their home to made them work in our
lands, and if we look further we have the different dictatorships that have existed in the whole
world. One of the worst was Hitler´s one, the persecution, the hate, the abuse that the Jews
suffered during this time cannot be described without crying. We have an example of that
suffering thanks to Ana Frank´s diary. She was a Jew girl whose family and her were terribly
killed. Thankfully in our days we don´t find that kind of things, we have to rise against domestic
violence, racial discrimination, child abuse, those are the problems we should stop first.

For avoiding unnecessary deaths, we have to fight against every kind of abuse, we have to
defend our ideas and fight for making this world one that we can feel proud of. If people all
over the world work together on making peace I´m absolutely sure that every problem that
ever existed is going to be history
