It was early at the morning on September 2nd that my partner, Deputy Dog and
I were searching for clues to the mysterious disappearance of Speedy the
wonder dog. Speedy was born in Tuesday May 4th in Brooklyn, New York on 6
o’clock on the afternoon. He was born in 2012 at the spring. He was last seen
on school where he was teaching addition to first graders. He always teaches
math in Mondays at 9 o’clock. But suddenly in the middle of the lesson Speedy
vanished. We were still searching for clues on midnight! Do you think Speedy
was kidnapped or dognapped and that he is no longer at Brooklyn? Many dogs
have been kidnapped in the USA recently and we are worried.

Let me tell you a little about myself and my partner. I am Esmeralda Montalbano
and I live on New York City. I was born in Christmas Day- you know, that means
I was born on December 25th early at the morning in exactly 5:55 a.m. My
assistant, Deputy Dog, was born on Wednesday July 8th in 8:18 in the evening.
I was on school when he was born, my mother was at work, and my father was
on the office. We celebrate his birthday in the summer. On Deputy Dog’s
second birthday, he became my official assistant. We work at the weekends-
especially in the afternoon. We have found many lost animals and returned
them to their owners.

Well, the plot thickens. We thought it would be easy to locate missing teacher
dog, Speedy, who was last seen on the Dr. Seuss Middle school in Monday
morning at 9:30. But we were wrong! We stopped looking for him on midnight.
Then at the morning we started searching again. We looked everywhere. He
wasn’t in home. He wasn’t in the garden. He is always home at his birthday and
that was in 2 days- on Thursday May 6th. Yes, he was born in the spring. We
took a break in noon for lunch and stopped to put on our thinking caps. If he
wasn’t at Brooklyn, where could he be? What was he doing in the moment?
Then I remembered that he liked to do magic tricks. In 2013 he had gone to
magic school. He knew that children were tired on the morning, so that could
vanish easily. We found him early in the evening on his best friend’s house.
They were preparing for his birthday party on Thursday. Mystery solved!
