1. During the crucifixion, Jesus' heart was weakening, melting within Him. The mouth became so dry that the tongue stuck to the roof of the mouth. It was possible to count His bones. The Lord did all this out of love for the church, for the house of God! He needed to fulfill God's dream of having a mutual habitation between God and men (Ps 69:7, 9-12, 21; 22:14-17; Eph 2:21,22).
2. The Lord Jesus was determined to do
God's will. All the suffering of the cross was to accomplish redemption on man's behalf, to put an end to the old creation and release His resurrection life, thus producing the church as the new creation, to fulfill the will of God (John 5:30, 6:38; Acts 20:28).
3. Jesus' greatest suffering was, when in
the last three hours of the crucifixion, INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE - FEB 2024
He was without the presence of the
Father. At this moment, He was being WORD, LIFE, AND EDIFICATION
judged by God, for having carried our
sins upon Himself and for God having made Him sin for us. Jesus suffered for our sake to save us! (Mk 15:25; Mt 27:45- 46; Is 53:10).
4. "The way to receive Jesus is to believe
in His name (John 1:12). Those who received the Son, the One sent by God, are those who believed in Him. To receive is to believe!" (Daily Food, Book 6, Week 4, Friday, p. 67). Link to watch the message: https://youtube.com/live/N V64glxoOns?feature=share
